She’ll kill me when she sees this, but it’s Clarissa’s birthday and she deserves the very BEST wishes for the very awesomest of birthdays!
It is a true miracle that you are in our lives and in Jamie’s heart, Mimi, and we thank God every day for you.

The human body is an incredible thing; a short 2 1/2 weeks ago Jamie was in really bad shape but, after only 17 days and 4 surgeries (and counting), Jamie is increasingly mobile and getting beat up pretty good in rehab.
Of course, HE’S not real impressed with getting slung around and whipped back into shape at such a brisk pace, but the rest of us know what he’ll say himself one day soon when all this is behind him: thank God for physical therapy.
There have been two more surgeries since our last post, and some hiccups and setbacks along the way, but these are all to be expected: this is a months-long process and there is still a lot of work to be done. And thank God for Clarissa… she has been amazing and, with her there to love, encourage, and support Jamie through all these events, he has an incredibly bright future. They are an amazing team!
He’d probably have said no, had we asked his permission ahead of time to post this pic, but we are all just BEAMING with pride over how well he’s doing, and the progress he’s making. We wanted to share that with all of you.
Please… keep the cards and letters, and especially the prayers, coming. They really DO make a difference, and we thank you for all the love and support everyone continues to express for Jamie and Clarissa. The road ahead is long and winding, but your support is making a tremendous difference in their lives.

Great news!!! Jamie has been moved out of the hospital, and into in-patient rehab!! Now the HARD work begins.
